Dr. Sandate was born and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She attended the University of Arizona and obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Veterinary Science in 2011 and Professional Science Master's Degree in Applied Biosciences in 2015. She then attended Colorado State University and obtained her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine Degree in 2020. After veterinary school, she completed a small and exotic animal medicine and surgery rotating internship at VCA Valley Animal Hospital here in Tucson, Arizona. Some of her special interests include preventative medicine, internal medicine, dentistry, geriatric care, and hospice care. She also has interests in exotic companion animal, zoological, and wildlife medicine. Dr. Sandate enjoys listening to music, watching movies, spending time with family and friends, and snuggling her Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix, Zazu. She is grateful to join the Catalina Pet Hospital family and is a strong believer in providing quality care with kindness, love, and understanding.
